I love having things organized. But keeping them that way can be a struggle for me. And my brain can be a bit scatterbrained sometimes. That’s why I knew we needed a way to keep track of all his medical papers. Most importantly was his immunization card.
That’s why I was so happy when I saw a File Folder on sale. It was perfect for keeping track of all his well check papers. When I needed to transferred measurements on our growth chart it was easy to do because everything was in one spot.
I just grab the folder before heading to an appointment so it made updating his immunization card easy too. I also love the elastic on it so when I drop it papers don’t go every where.
When Draco was born I just grabbed a new color so I could keep them straight. When Georgiana was born I sent Grady out to buy one and he ended up coming home with this huge file. It worked out well as she ended up seeing a Neurologist, Metabolic, GI, Genetic, etc. Those extra tabs were useful.
I love that they come with labels and tabs so I can have a section or tab for diabetes or optometry. It was so helpful for Georgiana when a specialist would ask about another area and I would have all my papers right there. Giving everything a place has saved my sanity. Especially when you have four kids. Label makers work great for putting their names on them.
I also keep other important papers like Blessing and Birth Certificates in it’s own tab. All school papers have their own binders which are separate. I love this system that helps me keep important papers safe. So when I need some paper work for a doctor, therapist, or school I know right where it is. I know this is a small thing but I hope it helps you out. Please leave any tips you have for organizing your child’s medical paperwork or other important papers.
