Our family is so excited about 25 days of service with #LightTheWorld. Today’s prompt and scripture is “I was thirsty and ye gave me drink” from Matthew 40:25. I love this scripture as it reminds us to show love and charity towards all men. This weekend is a busy choir weekend for our family and we were trying to find the best time and way to serve others. My son was invited with his scout troop to hike at a local nature center and I thought it would be a great place to give out some water bottles.

This project would be even better if you knew a place where people really needed water. But you could pick any location to give out water bottles to strangers. This activity is great for any normal weekend activity. You can bring water to sport games, tree lighting ceremonies, live nativities, hiking or any other Saturday place your family visits. I like that these water bottle wrappers help spread the word about the campaign Light The World. I hope this will encourage others to learn about the 25 days of Christ and we can help spread even more light.
And another great thing about sharing water bottles is that anyone can do it! It’s great for families and kids. I love service projects that involve children. If they can learn to feel true joy from helping others when they are young their lives will be forever blessed. I loved watching our scout troop serve and help others. They did such a great job! We even had woman come back and thank us for spreading kindness.
I am so thankful for the chance to serve and for the daily prompts from Light the World that help me think outside the box and spread even more Christmas cheer. Creating these water bottle labels was such a treat! Thank you so much for reading! I am so happy to share them with you so we can help share the light of Christ! If your family passes out water bottles I would love to hear where you shared them in the comments below!
