Family Dinners are pretty important in our family. It’s a time to connect and eat together. That’s one of the reasons I create a monthly dinner plan. My menu plan takes work out of what to make for dinner.
And one of my favorite things is when everyone cheers for dinner. With four kids it’s no surprise that I have kids who complain or moan when certain dinners are served. Although being consistent and making dinners I like is totally paying off. As my favorite meals are shared I find my kids are better about giving dinners a second chance (more like a 30th chance) and I find their palette is expanding.
One dinner I never have to worry about is pizza. This recipe is a family favorite! Everyone cheers when they see pizza on our family menu board. And honestly it’s nice not hear complaints over dinner.
And since this pizza dough is homemade I feel better about serving pizza more often that the greasy pizza you can pick up. If you are trying to serve more vegetables just cut some up and make a veggie pizza. And when we make pizza at home we also save money. It’s amazing how simple ingredients can make something so yummy.

I like to use my KitchenAid and hook attachment. Also our family of 6 usually doubles or triples this recipe because we love pizza.
I have a couple kitchen favorites for this recipe. We love using our pizza stones when making pizza. I have three of them and they are wonderful. I also love to use a pastry mat when rolling out my dough. I use this mat all the time and it’s a kitchen favorite!
This recipe is also great for pizza parties. We love inviting over other couples and having everyone bring toppings to share. You can find great tips for making personal pan pizzas with this post. It’s a popular post and a great way to make pizza, especially if you don’t have a pizza stone. We often do this as a family and my kids love creating their own pizza.
Making dinner together as a family is a great way to connect. Talking and laugh while making pizza will create memories with your family. I love the power that taste and smell connect with memories.
Thanks for letting me share a family favorite recipe. You can also use this recipe to create Calzones. Be sure to spread the love and pin this post.
