May is finally here! April was such a whirlwind of family activities and birthdays. Besides being the day where we see Justin Timberlake’s picture all over Facebook, it’s also the day to start our new monthly menu. Here is Arizona school ends at the end of the month which is a great reason to celebrate! May is always filled with fun activities and some fun holidays. Some of our family’s favorites are: May the 4th, Cinco de Mayo, Mother’s Day, and Memorial Day. These holidays are a great excuse to gather and celebrate as a family! In addition to remembering those who have given the ultimate sacrifice on Memorial Day, we have found another worth while family activity. I started following JenniferFunkDesigns on instagram last year. Her husband Brad was killed in the line of duty. The week of May 1st all are invited to serve in the honor of someone YOU love. You can read all about #operationservetoheal over at her blog. I would love for your family to join ours as we remember Brad and other loved ones who have given their lives. I am so touch how they used this hard time to bring about peace and happiness to their family. It’s a perfect way to teach our children the importance of Memorial Day.
