How is it already almost October? It’s still pretty warm here in Arizona but now that it is October I still want to make soups and homemade bread. One thing that has helped me with keeping on my monthly menu plan is this awesome menu board in my kitchen area. (Similar one found here) When I list what we are eating that month it makes dinner easier. I will remember to pull out some frozen chicken or start the crock pot or buy some more cilantro for our tacos. When I can see what I have planned it’s easier for me to stay on top of it. I hope my monthly menu plan makes your meal planning a little bit easier. I love sharing my favorite dinner recipes with you. I know spending time as a family around the table with strengthen family relationships and foster more love at home. Not that we don’t have whining or fighting at the table, but we always have more laughter and good times together.

In addition to monthly menu planning I find it’s helpful to plan with a purpose with our family night lessons. Also when I planned our meals I scheduled one on one time dates with our four kids. I really admired Stephan Covey and how he had monthly one on one time with all, what 10 kids. Seriously a great example and inspiration. Because we like to start small we decide to each take two kids out on a date and then switch next month. That way each child is getting one on one time with one parent. My kids love kid date night. I know making this, along with family night, a priority will strengthen our family.
