Oreo Truffles are pretty amazing. Seriously they are delicious. And super easy to make. You may not know this but I LOVE Oreo’s! My favorite non-homemade cookie. And these truffles look and taste impressive without that much effort. And after my crazy month of birthdays, moving, concerts, and more birthdays, I needed something simple.
One of my favorite people is having a baby. We needed to celebrate her new daughter (post coming later this week with all the details for her shower). I was excited for the excuse to make these yummy treats that were tasty and perfectly matched her theme colors. Right now I am working on my 2nd son’s baptism, but I wanted to share this recipe real quick. Now that I am thinking about it, I might have to make these for his baptism. My boys were asking for some today, but I may have finished them off last night.
- 34 Oreo cookies
- 7 oz Cream Cheese
- Chocolate Melts
- Sprinkles (optional)
- Place your cookies in your food processor and pulse till they are crushed into fine crumbs.
- Mix your crushed cookies and cream cheese till combined.
- Use a cookie scoop to help each truffle uniform in size. Place on cookie sheet with parchment paper or a silicone mat. Place in freezer for 15 minutes.
- Melt your chocolates in a glass bowl in the microwave. Stir to smooth out. If needed add some canola oil to make your chocolate smoother.
- Using two forks dip each truffle and cover in chocolate. Return to your pan.
- Top with sprinkles if desired. Just be sure to add the sprinkles before your chocolate hardens.
- Keep in storage container and refrigerate until ready to serve.
