I love Christmas ornaments!!! Probably because decorating the tree is one of my favorite holiday traditions. In this Ornament Round Up I picked my favorite ornaments. Most of them are handmade because I really love handmade. Our tree is handmade meets Star Wars. So it’s pretty much a dream tree. Some of these ornaments I have already made and some I hope to tackle this month. They also make great gifts. I love unwrapping each ornament and telling my kids why it’s so special. Now that they are getting older they have stronger attachments to certain ornaments. Decorating the tree always creates good feelings.
Etched Birch Ornaments from Design Mom
Aren’t these adorable??? I need to find me a birch tree soon. Her site looks lovely as well. I’m excited to give these a try. I love the natural beauty of these ornaments.
Silhouette Ornaments from Simple as That
I love when ornaments can capture moments. Their silhouettes change so quickly. I try to capture them each year and this would be the perfect time to document their profile. I love how she adds the year and their name. I am really excited to make these. I already purchased some plastic bulbs from the dollar store!
Baby Jesus Manger Handprint from Haulin’ with the Oats
This is another great ornament that documents my kids growing up. And I love how simple and inexpensive this would be to make. But my favorite part is that it focuses on our Savior and His love for us.
A Felt Gingerbread Man from A Homemade Living
I already picked up some felt at JoAnne’s sale last week. I love the idea of making one for everyone in our family. And my boys are all about sewing right now so this would be the perfect project for them.
Star of Bethlehem Ornament for Equipping Godly Women
Here is another great symbol of Christmas. I love the creativity with the clothes pins. I know my kids would love to make this.
Twiggy Snowflake Ornament from Make it and Love it
I think I just really love nature ornaments. Isn’t this so cute? I love the gold shimmer she uses. Just be sure you pack it nicely. The following year I had to do some touch ups.
Golden Snitch from Tiny Apartment Crafts
Would this round up even be complete without a Harry Potter Ornament? I don’t think so either. I love this one!!!
Monogram Felt Ornaments From MADE
I made these one year for my nieces and nephews. They are cute, simple, and fun. I should really make some for my kids.
Newspaper Print Ornament by Landeelu
I love the newsprint of this ornament! You can personalize each one with your name, year, word for the year, or whatever.
Homemade Block Ornament from the Crafting Chicks
This is my favorite ornament ever. I started making them in 2011 and I make them each year. Jamie, from Crafting Chicks, makes the best ornaments! I love picking two pictures of each child. On the other side I write their name and the year. On another side I put what they want for Christmas. It’s so fun to see them grow up and too look back on what they wanted. One year Draco wanted a jump rope. Another year Yoda wanted a “big yellow present”. I don’t want to forget these moments. I even make one for Grady and me. And I make extra ones for the grandparents. They get one with a different child on each side. We will have to add another block when we have another baby. I love putting these ornaments up and seeing how much them have grown.
I hope you enjoyed these ornaments as much as I have! Be sure to follow me on Pinterest to see more ornaments I have pinned. And to follow me on Instagram to see what new ornaments we make this year. You can find my social media icons to your right or below if you are using your phone.
