We are so excited we were able to purchase a new home for our family! It has been such a blessing. And the whole process reminds me so much that our Father in Heaven know what He is doing and what is best for us. In February we were given notice that we had to be out by the end of the month. (Talk about stressful!) We have been wanting to buy but when we had prayed it never felt right. I had been searching the MLS for months now trying to see what was available. Thankfully my girlfriend had told us about Brad Hall, her realtor. Based on our past experience we decided to find a relator who was highly recommended, not just someone we knew. If we were still in Orange County I would have used Nancy Andreason. But now that we were in Arizona we needed someone to help us find a house. And fast!
Brad was amazing with his flexibility to work around my husband’s schedule. He sent a list of houses that fit our needs and then he made appointments the next day to view the ones we liked. I knew The Lord had a place in mind for us just like he did when we first moved to Arizona. When we first saw our house we liked it. And Georgiana thought it looked like Elsa’s castle, which was a win for her. We still had another place we wanted to see, but couldn’t until the next day which was Friday. We had high hopes for that one, but when we saw it was not very desirable.
I really love how Brad shared his knowledge with us. I knew we could get 4 bedrooms, a loft, and a pool based on my months of searching the MLS. But as we viewed different properties he shared his advice after we had a chance to view them. I was looking at potential, layout and features that I wanted. Brad was seeing crappy workmanship, patching on the ceiling, and things people did to turn around a house. He let us know for the price we paying we deserved higher quality doors and doorjambs and other things. I really appreciate him letting us know what was a good investment. I know we can fix things or change what we didn’t want, but his knowledge saved us so much money.
We were able to put an offer on this place 5 days after I found out we needed to move. And thanks to Brad and Ken Starks, our finance guy, were were able to speed things along to move in within a month. Grady had talked with a lawyer and we found out a landlord can give you 30 days to move out, but it can’t be in that same month. So because our notice was post marked in February we had till the end of March. Our lawyer (a free lawyer through the county) negotiated the middle of the month for us. Our landlord was not cooperating with us to give us any more time into March before we had contacted a lawyer. We always thought we would put a offer on a house, and then give our notice. We are so thankful things worked out!
And before we made an offer Grady and I had the opportunity to pray together to know if this was the right home for us. I am so thankful for personal revelation! We were told this is where The Lord wants us, which is the best part. I know and trust that this is the neighborhood/ward we should raise our children. I’m so excited for this new chapter and for all the new friends we will be able to meet.
And if you were to ask the kids the best part they would definitely say the pool. I’m so excited to swim this summer! My daughter was already decided on an Ariel swim party for her 3rd birthday. We are so thankful for this gorgeous house. It’s better than anything I could have asked for. I can’t wait to hang things up and decorate so I can show you some after shots. Georgiana’s room is almost done! I felt like I have been unpacking nonstop between our two California trips this past month. Luckily my mom came out and helped us a whole bunch! We were able to do most of the work for little girl’s room and finally get my pantry organized!
My favorite things about my house is our kitchen, pool, pantry, a loft for the kids to play in, and a huge bathtub for relaxing! Thanks so much for reading! And if you are in the East Valley Area in Arizona be sure to check out Brad and Ken (not sponsored, we just LOVED them!) .
