Have you heard of Shop Small Saturday? It’s a push to encourage us to shop and support small businesses. I love when I can support local artists in my community, especially when I can find some one of a kind gifts. When we take time to share our favorite small businesses we can help moms with a side hustle or new companies take off. And we can some real treasures. I would love to hear about your business or side hustle. Or maybe you have a new favorite shop. Please tell us in the comments below. Spreading the word on great businesses blesses everyone. So here our my favorite 10 Shops this year…
Ginger Cotton Shop
Have you heard of this cute shop? Great name, right? She makes adorable wreaths and hoop art. And she has some pretty darling Christmas Stockings. There was a pop up shop I didn’t make it to and I’m really bummed. I wanted to snap some homemade mistletoe. Be sure to check out her Instagram. I think she might be having a Black Friday Sale. 😀
Lolly Letters
Ladies of the Lolly Jane blog also have a Etsy Shop along with a separate Instagram feed. This sign is probably my favorite! And we got a You Are My Sunshine cutout for Georgiana’s room and she loves it!!! (One of these days I’ll get around to sharing her room with you.) It was perfect because I love to sing that song to her. It’s one of her favorites.
Lark Skirts
Love these skirts! They are locally made in Mesa, Arizona. This #girlboss supports and helps support other women in the community. And you can read here why their skirts are the best! Flawless style can be found on their Instagram feed as well as Black Friday information.
I Chart You
This clever company came up with a new and modern way to show your family tree. Their clean designs would look beautiful in any home. And yet, if you look closer you can find family history and names for your family to read often. I love family history and this chart is a great way to keep those that have gone before us in our hearts.
25 Days of Christ
This online company is helping families focus on the Savior during the month of December. They sell kits, or advent calendars, that have a little ornament and a coordinating message about our Savior Jesus Christ. I know my kids retain more when I have visual aids or when they can be part of something. This beautiful family tradition can help your family remember the true meaning of Christmas.
Hand Lettered Design
Lisa is a very talented artist who uses her talent to build and encourage others. She has found healing power in the simple practice of slowing down and focusing on letter writing. Have you always wanted to improve your penmanship or write with beautiful flourishes? She has an online course and and new creative journal. I love following Lisa on Instagram. She is real and always so uplifting. And I also really enjoy her emails, which is saying something.
Lipsense
Have you heard about the LipSense craze? Pretty much the best lipstick ever. You apply it once and it last all day. You can re-apply a gloss (which is 10 times for moisturizing than chapstick) but your lipcolor stays on all day!!! And it stays on your lips. It won’t get on your mug or on your sweetheart. It’s a great product. And you can find it here from my SIL. (Her shopping group has other shopping tips in addition to LipSense) You may be thinking, who would want this as a gift? LipSense is especially perfect for:
Young moms (who don’t always have time for lipstick, let alone reapplying)
Mature women (this lipstick won’t bleed, run, or get on your teeth. Lipstick bleeding an unfortunate side effect of wrinkles.)
Working women (I wore when I worked full time in the salon. I loved looking more put together professionally and didn’t have to worry about re-applying)
Brides (last ALL day and you can kiss your hubby all you want!)
Teen girls (Even if they are just wearing glossy. It keeps your lips looking healthy. I use it on my 3 year old when her lips get dry)
You can follow along on my SIL’s Instagram for tips, the newest colors, and make up tutorials.
Harvest House Designs
Love this shop! I fell in love with a beautiful but simple sign at a little pop up shop. We knew we would be moving, but didn’t know the layout of our new home, so I waited on purchasing that sign. Now I know exactly where I would hang my “Then Sings My Soul” sign. And I just read that they host parties (another favorite thing of mine!) so I may need to organize a girls craft night early January. Their signs are beautiful and well made.
Letter Folk
Have you seen these adorable letter boards. They are perfect for milestones, holidays, parties, or really just everyday life. I love that you can make any day extra special with a silly saying or an uplifting quote. That is one of my favorite things, turning an ordinary day into something extra special. This letter board may be on my wish list this year. They are selling out fast!
That Dad Blog
I don’t really know if this qualifies as a shop. But I really love following him on Instagram. He is a talented photographer who makes me laugh. And what can I say? I love smiling. He shows his life with 6 kids in such a fresh way. I stumbled upon his account with his “Wil Can Fly” series. And that’s what I want to share. He has created another calendar with his adorable son Wil. My kids can’t believe it. My oldest is sure it’s got to be some sort of computer trick, but one of his sons can fly. And it’s pretty amazing. I want to get this calendar for my kids. Bonus: Each purchase helps some pretty amazing causes.
I love sharing and spreading the word when I find things that make our world a better place. You can click over and read about my favorites from last years here. I will love them! Did I leave out your favorite new shop? Please share it below in our comments.
