I love making birthday banners! They are perfect for parties or just a simple breakfast in the morning. It’s one of my favorite things to make with my Silhouette Cameo. With a little paper I can decorate our home and help our birthday kids feel special. And I would love to share a little tip with you. I love using Baker’s Twine for my banners. It’s colorful and super cute. But some times the threads can come undone. The solution: Aglets.
Have you not heard of an Aglet? On Phineas and Ferb’s episode Tip of the Day we can learn all about aglets. Or check out this music video on you tube.
I like having an extra piece of bunting to use as my template for where to punch my holes.(See blue circle above.) Then I make my own aglet by rolling some clear tape on the Baker’s Twine. It stays clean looking and fits through your punched home perfectly. Let’s take a moment to recognize how this great advancement has blessed our lives. And check out the episode of Phineas and Ferb Tip of the Day. Seriously one of my top ten TV favorite shows. You can check out my finished banner on my Calvin and Hobbes Party post.
Thanks so much Phineas and Ferb for helping us maximize our Summer Fun! And for the handy tip of the Aglet. What is your Favorite Phineas and Ferb episode. I might have to watch some episodes while making Georgiana’s party supplies for next weekend.
